In Norse lore, the Wraith is the tormented echo of a warrior who fell in battle but was denied entry to Valhalla or Helheim. It drifts between worlds, bound to an unfinished oath and the memory of combat, rising where blood was spilled unjustly.

Skaldic accounts treat the Wraith as both curse and omen: it appears to oath breakers or those who disturb the balance between life and death. Driven by rage and regret, it retains much of its former strength, acting as either sentinel of forgotten battlefields or a relentless hunter of dishonored souls.
